Introduction
EB Insulation LLC ("we", "us" or "our") is an insulation contractor serving homeowners in Northern California. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
It covers this website and the inquiries you send us through it. It does not cover any separate written agreement we may enter into with you for work at your property, or any third-party website we link to.
If you would rather not use the contact form, you are always welcome to call or email us instead, using the details in the last section of this page.
Information We Collect
Information you give us
The contact form on this site asks for your name, your email address and the ZIP code of the property, and optionally for your phone number, the service you are interested in, and a description of what you are noticing at home. You choose what to write in the message field, so please do not include information you would not want sent by email.
If you call or email us instead, we receive whatever you choose to tell us in that call or message.
Information collected automatically
When you submit the form, your IP address is processed for two purposes: it is sent to Cloudflare as part of the anti-spam check described below, and it is included in the notification email we receive, so that abuse of the form can be identified. It is also held briefly in the server memory to limit how many submissions can be sent from one connection in a short period. It is not written to any database on this site.
As with any website, the hosting provider that serves these pages keeps standard server logs (for example IP address, request time, page requested, browser and device type) for operation, security and troubleshooting.
Website measurement, if you agree to it
If you turn on Analytics cookies, this site loads Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity. Until you do, neither is present on the page and neither collects anything.
Once enabled, they receive technical and usage information: the pages you open, the page that referred you, your approximate location derived from your IP address, your browser, device type and screen size, and how you interact with a page — clicks, scrolling, and the few actions we count deliberately, such as tapping the phone number or successfully sending an estimate request. Microsoft Clarity additionally reconstructs the session as a playback and as heatmaps.
The contact form is masked in those recordings, so what you type into it is not captured. We do not send your name, email address, phone number, ZIP code or message to either provider, and we do not ask either of them to identify you. Full detail, including how to turn this back off, is in the Cookie Policy.
What we do not collect
This website does not create accounts, does not take payments, and does not ask for Social Security numbers, financial account details, government identification or health information. It loads no advertising, remarketing or ad-personalization tool, and it does not track you across other websites. See the Cookie Policy for the full picture on cookies and tracking technologies.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information described above to:
- Respond to your request and answer your questions.
- Schedule and carry out an assessment of the attic, crawl space or other area you are asking about, and prepare an estimate.
- Follow up with you by phone, text message or email about that request.
- Provide the services you engage us for, and communicate about work in progress.
- Protect the site and the form against spam, abuse and automated submissions.
- Understand how the website is used, so we can fix what is confusing and improve it — but only if you have turned on Analytics cookies.
- Keep ordinary business records, and meet legal or tax obligations.
We do not use your information for automated decision-making, and we do not sell it. A project inquiry alone does not add you to any marketing list.
Contact by Phone, SMS, and Email
By submitting the contact form and checking the consent box, you agree that EB Insulation LLC may contact you by phone, text message (SMS) and/or email about your project inquiry. Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency may vary. Consent to receive these communications is not a condition of purchasing any service, and you can always reach us by calling or emailing us directly instead.
You may opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from us. You may opt out of marketing email by using the unsubscribe link, by replying "unsubscribe", or by contacting us using the details at the end of this page. We may still need to contact you about work that is already scheduled or in progress.
California Privacy Rights (CCPA / CPRA)
If applicable, California residents may have certain privacy rights under California law, including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA). Even where these laws may not formally apply to a business of our size, we will make reasonable efforts to respond to verified privacy requests regarding access, correction or deletion of personal information.
These rights may include:
- The right to know what categories of personal information we have collected about you, where it came from, why we collected it, and who we shared it with.
- The right to delete personal information we hold about you, subject to records we are required or permitted to keep.
- The right to correct inaccurate personal information.
- The right to opt out of sale or sharing. We do not sell your personal information for money, and we do not use this website’s measurement tools for cross-context behavioral advertising: no advertising or remarketing tool is loaded here, and the website’s code does not intentionally enable advertising features on the analytics tools it uses. The measurement tools themselves are optional and are controlled by you, through the cookie banner or the "Cookie Preferences" link in the footer of every page. If advertising or remarketing tools are ever activated on this site, their use will be subject to your cookie preferences, an updated version of this policy, and an appropriate opt-out mechanism.
- The right to non-discrimination for exercising any of the above. We will not deny you service, charge you a different price or provide a different quality of service because you made a privacy request.
To make a request, contact us using the details at the end of this page. We may need to verify your identity, or your authority to act on someone else's behalf, before we can act on it, and we will aim to respond within a reasonable timeframe.
Data Retention
Form submissions exist as email in our inbox. We keep them for as long as we need them to answer your request, to carry out any work that follows from it, and for our ordinary business and tax records. In general that is no longer than three years after our last contact with you, unless a longer period is required by law or by an agreement between us.
Server logs kept by our hosting provider are retained for that provider's standard operational period. Website measurement data, when you have consented to it, is held by Google and by Microsoft on their own systems and for the periods their services apply; we do not hold a separate copy of it and cannot state a retention period on their behalf. You may ask us to delete information we hold about you, as described in the California privacy rights section above.
Security
We take reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect the information this site handles. The site is served over an encrypted connection, the contact form is protected by an anti-spam check and by rate limiting, and submissions are not written to a database: they are delivered as email, and nothing about them is stored on the web server.
No method of transmission over the internet and no method of electronic storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not send sensitive personal information, such as financial account details or identification numbers, through the contact form.
Children and This Website
This website is intended for homeowners and other adults, and is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Third-Party Links
This site may link to websites we do not operate, and the service-area map displays imagery from a third party. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices or security of those sites and services. Their own policies apply when you visit them, and we encourage you to read them.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the website or our practices change. When we do, we revise the "Last updated" date shown at the top of this page. Material changes to how we handle personal information will be published here before they take effect on the site. Please review this page from time to time.
