We work in the parts of a house nobody looks at, attics, crawl spaces and open wall cavities, on the assumption that comfort problems in the rooms below usually start there.
Our approach is sequential rather than product-led. We look at what is actually in the space, remove what is no longer doing its job, seal the paths air is taking, and only then install new material. Insulation laid over unsealed penetrations looks finished and performs poorly, so the order matters more than the brand on the bag.
Every photograph on this site is from our own work, including the conditions we find before we start.

The Order
Four stages, and the order is the point.
Insulation laid over unsealed penetrations looks finished on the day and performs like the attic was never touched. Each stage below has to happen before the one after it.
Look
What is actually in the attic or crawl space decides the scope, so we go up and look rather than specifying from a photograph.
Remove
Material that has been compressed, displaced, wet or contaminated no longer performs the way it was rated to, and it comes out first.
Seal
Every penetration through the ceiling plane gets closed while it is still reachable: junction boxes, pipes, duct openings, framing joints.
Install
New material goes in last, fitted around the framing rather than compressed into it, and the work area is cleaned up afterwards.
